OFDA and YCO signed an understanding memorandum with Intersos to implement part of the activities of the Khadair district – Taiz governorate for the OFDA funded project entitled: Extension of Emergency Protection in Water and Sanitation Activities, including Emergency Response to Cholera, as well as Protection and Nutrition Support for Conflict-Affected People in Northern Taiz ,and (Dhi Al-Safal and Al- Sayani) districts – Taiz governorate. The understanding memorandum included a number of significant points which are:
1. providing safe area for women and providing psychosocial support services to those affected and conflict survivors.
2. Case management and GPV issues.
3. Organizing social awareness sessions and empowering women.
4. Preparing a special angle for infants and young children nutrition at the Lactation Center.
5. Conducting nutrition counseling sessions for pregnant and lactating mothers.
6. Training a number of women in life skills courses.
And the memorandum included a number of procedures abuot the various activities implementation. The memorandum was signed on behalf of Intersos by Ms. Evelyn lernaut, Head of Mission in Yemen, and the head of YCO has signed on behalf of YCO.
