YCO concluded the activities of protection and nutrition support for the conflict-affected people implemented by the organization in partnership with INTERSOS in Khadair District during the period (May-October 2018), which included the activities of the training program for life skills courses for women in the fields of incense, perfumes, handicrafts, hairdressing, body caring and Safe Area center for woman Which provides primary and group psychosocial support services, case management activities, gender-based violence issues, and a counseling angle for infant and young child nutrition . This activity comes in the context of the extension of emergency protection in the water and sanitation activities of the Cholera emergency response carried out by InterSos with its partners and local organizations in the departments of (Al-Sayani, Dhi Al-Safal)-Ibb governorate and( Al-Taiziah and Kadeer) – Northern Taiz funded by OFDA. The activities done by the organization aimed to provide emergency protection services for conflict-affected persons, especially women and children, through the case management in coordination with organizations and the implementation of training programs for the economic empowerment of women at risk and prepare women in a good preparation with life skill and to provide bags and materials for program graduates that will help them begin to create the activities of small income-generating projects to reduce poverty and create job opportunities ; In addition, the community awareness sessions organized awareness sessions in GPV and self-empowerment for women, as well as nutritional counseling angel services for children and infants togher with individual and collective awareness sessions for pregnant and lactating mothers. It is worth mentioning that protection activities (case management) and economic empowerment of youth and women are part of the main constant programs in the organization projects plan.
