YCO concluded in cooperation with the Hygiene and Improvement Fund in
the Maweya district ,many activities of public awareness of hygiene and
prevention of diseases. In the same time with the campaign to clean and
remove waste from the markets of the Districts (Al-Shurman, Al-Swaida and
Jabala) implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM)
and under the auspices of NAMCHA in the governorate and in coordination
with the local authority during Period (3 to 10 February 2019).
YCO’s activity coordinator -Samia Al-Ariqi explained that these activities
came as an initiative of the organization to support and success the carried out
campaign ,and in the framework of mutual cooperation with the International
Organization for Migration (IOM) and that it was organizing awareness
sessions within the public markets and gatherings places ,even shops ;
as well as implementing special programs in schools adjacent to the markets
as school broadcasting activities, celebrations to honor students and carrying
out educational activities for children and distribution of awareness brochures
dedicated to it ..
For their part, Mawiya’s children thanked the operating organizations in the
district for what is good for citizens and their environment at the same time.
